National Beef exists to take care of its own flesh and blood. The company is the holding company for National Beef Packing Company, one of the largest beef processing companies in the US. The processor produces a variety of beef products and sells to hundreds of retailers, food service companies, and processed meat product companies; its brands include Black Canyon, Certified Premium Beef, Naturewell, and Imperial Valley Premium Beef. National Beef was formed in 2009 to manage National Beef Packing Company's operations; it filed an initial public offering (IPO) that same year.
